Below you will find a few of the frequently asked questions.
How are payments and time managed?
Depending on the project, you will be billed by either a project based rate or an hourly rate. Both of these are managed through an online system called AndCo.
You will be invoiced through email from my AndCo system. You will have the ability to login and view all of the details of your account with Red Word Host. This includes time worked on project tasks.
You will also be emailed a bi-weekly report detailing the time worked on your projects, for projects that are tracked by time.
Some projects and services require monthly automated billing. This is processed online.
How will my automated payments be managed?
If your project requires automated billing or you have requested a payment plan, you will be sent a link to the Red Word Host Online Store, where you will select the product and the payment that you find most desirable. You will enter your billing information and your payment will be processed online.
For security purposes, we do not require you to provide us with your billing information. It is all processed though our systems.
How are packages and retainer payments handled?
Upon completing your selection of services and signing the agreement, you will be required to select a duration for your package and/or retainer. Packages and retainers run on a 3, 6, 9, or 12 month basis. When this is selected, you will then be sent a link, where you can enter your payment information and be automatically debited for that period. If you choose to extend your initial service agreement after that period, we are able to continue to roll the payment and agreement over to the next payment period.
The price of the complete website is more that I can afford right now. Do you have any other options?
As a matter of fact, we do. Here at Red Word Host, we consider the fact that everyone is human with families and a budget. For that reason, each website package has three different payment options that are presented to you at the end of our initial assessment. This arrangement is based on both your needs and your budget. However, when a payment plan is established, automated payments are required.
What type of payment is accepted?
Although we use AndCo as our primary payment system, we accept Paypal, Visa, American Express, Master Card, and ACH Bank Payments. Each of these payment types can be used through our AndCo portal. If your project requires automated payment, you will enter your billing information in the Red Word Host online store.
Are you able to complete rush jobs?
Although we prefer jobs scheduled in advance, we do understand that there are times where rush jobs are necessary. When this is the case, rush jobs are able to be completed, upon discussion of what is required. However there is a 25% surcharge of the normal quoted price for the project when requested to be completed in less than 24 hours notice. There is also a 50% surcharge for evenings, weekends, and U.S Holidays, when projects are requested to be completed during these times.
Since themes are free with website packages, which themes can I choose from?
When you purchase a website package from Red Word Host, we offer you the complete set of themes from credible companies like Studiopress, Elegant Themes, Themeisle, and Themezilla. Although themes are used, each website is completely original and customized for each client project.
Do all projects require a Proposal Intent Fee?
Not all projects require a proposal, but for those that do, a Proposal Intent Fee is required to be paid prior to initiating a proposal and contracting a project. This fee demonstrates your intent to initiate the project and covers the time required to build the proper proposal for your needs. This fee, if the proposal is accepted, will be subtracted from the total project amount. However, if the project is not accepted, this fee is non-refundable.
How much is the fee?
The fee ranges from $50-$250, depending on the size of the project.
How will I know if my project requires a Proposal Intent Fee?
If your project will require a proposal, this fee will be discussed with you prior to beginning the proposal stage.
Do the website packages include a header?
Yes. We include a header with every website package. However, logo design is a different service offered through Red Word Host and is not available with all Website Packages.
Do the website packages include hosting and domain registration?
Depending on the package that you purchase, hosting and domain registration are offered. These services must be renewed through Red Word Host, yearly, in order to maintain the current website. If you have your own hosting, domain registration will be your responsibility. If websites built using Red Word Host’s hosting are not renewed, the domain will expire and the website will be suspended. If you have a payment plan, other renewal options may apply to you, but will be explained to you in your estimate.
Can I receive a refund on my website and other services?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for services through Red Word Host. We do our best to complete each service in a manner that pleases our customers, in the spirit of excellence. Each project is given a review period where you have the ability to discuss your concerns. It is our hope that you will love the final outcome and be completely satisfied with the work that has been done.
Since I cannot receive a refund on my website, how will I know if I like it prior to it’s release?
That is a really great question! Each website development and design project receives its’ own project page, where progress and approvals are tracked. You will also receive a two week review period for your website. During this time period, you are able to request changes, test links, and make any final adjustments. Upon the final release of the website & content, you will receive complementary 30 day Basic Website Servicing, on the work that has been completed by Red Word Host. This processes allows you to become more familiar with your website. It also allows you to make requests that you deem necessary for your satisfaction.
